Meetings
The Meeting tab provides a read-only view of all meetings across your committees. It’s designed for users who need to stay informed about meeting outcomes, agendas, and decisions without requiring editing access.
Who Uses This Tab
The Meeting tab is available to all users, including those with Reader access. It’s particularly useful for:
- Readers who need to follow committee activities but don’t participate in meeting preparation
- Contributors and Owners who want a quick read-only overview without accidentally editing anything
What You Can See
The Meeting tab displays the same meeting information as the Prepare tab, but in a view-only format:
- Meeting schedule — Dates, times, and locations
- Agendas — Discussion items and time allocations
- Attendee lists — Who is invited and their RSVP status
- Meeting notes — Notes captured during the meeting
- Decisions — Formal decisions recorded
- Actions — Tasks created during the meeting
Meeting Views
Meetings can be displayed in two formats:
- Timeline view — A horizontal visual timeline showing meetings as cards in chronological order, with a today indicator and color-coded statuses
- Table view — A sortable table with columns for date, status, and title
Relationship to Other Modules
The Meeting tab in Act shows the same meetings managed through the Organize module. The key difference is perspective:
- Organize focuses on individual committee meeting management
- Decide > Meeting aggregates meetings across all your committees in one place
Next Steps
- Prepare — Meeting preparation workspace (Owners & Contributors)
- Kanban — Track actions created during meetings
- Managing Meetings — Full meeting lifecycle documentation
