Pilotus’s global search helps you quickly find anything in your organization — plans, committees, actions, decisions, and people.
Accessing Search
- Click Search in the sidebar, or
- Use the keyboard shortcut (usually Cmd/Ctrl + K)
How Search Works
The search feature:
- Searches across all content you have access to
- Returns real-time results as you type
- Supports French and English including accented characters
- Groups results by type for easy navigation
What You Can Search

Using Search

Open Search
Click the search icon or use the keyboard shortcut.

Type Your Query
Enter keywords related to what you’re looking for.
- Results appear as you type
- No need to press Enter

Review Results
Results are grouped by type:
- Plans
- Committees
- Actions
- Decisions
- Users

Click a Result
Click to navigate directly to that item.
Search Tips
Be Specific
More specific queries give better results:

Use Key Terms
Search for:
- Exact titles you remember
- Unique words from descriptions
- People’s names
- Date references
Accents Don’t Matter
The search is accent-insensitive:
- “réunion” finds “reunion” and vice versa
- “comité” finds “comite”
- Works with all French accents
Filtering Results
After searching, you can filter by type:
- All — Show everything
- Plans — Only strategic plans
- Committees — Only committees and groups
- Actions — Only action items
- Decisions — Only recorded decisions
- Users — Only people
Common Search Scenarios
Finding a Plan
Search for:
- The plan name: “Strategic Plan 2024”
- A key objective: “improve customer satisfaction”
- The plan type: “communication plan”
Finding an Action
Search for:
- The action title: “review vendor contracts”
- The assignee: “Marie Dupont”
- Related content: “budget review”
Finding a Decision
Search for:
- Key words from the decision: “approved renovation”
- The meeting: “board meeting january”
- The topic: “policy change”
Finding a Person
Search for:
- Their name: “Jean Martin”
- Their email (partial): “@organization.com”
- Their role: “director”
Search Results
Each result shows:
- Icon — Indicates the type (plan, action, etc.)
- Title — The name or main text
- Context — Where it comes from (plan name, meeting, etc.)
- Preview — Snippet of matching text
Permissions and Search
If you can’t find something you expect:
- Check that you have access to it
- Ask your administrator about permissions
- Try different search terms
Quick Actions from Search
Some results offer quick actions:
- Open — Navigate to the item
- View Details — See more information
- Edit (if permitted) — Go directly to edit mode
